About Me

My name is Toru Mizumachi, I'm a stylist and consultant for sustainable fashion. I love people and fashion, but over the past couple of years I have become increasingly concerned about the toll fast fashion is taking on our planet and on labourers who often work in appalling conditions to make clothes for chain stores. I started Green Swallow to give people an ethical alternative to fast fashion.
My aim is to create unique clothing that my clients look and feel good in. I want people to really love the clothes that I make for them. This will save them money in the longer term and help to end the vicious cycle of cheap but poorly made fast fashion items that fall apart after one wash and are just as quickly out of fashion. I want my clients to walk out of Green Swallow with an original item of clothing that will last season after season.
